The SlimCORE™ 48F cable is engineered for enterprise structured-cabling backbones, including building risers, floor-to-floor distribution, and communications cabinet aggregation. The four 12-fibre subunit construction enables rapid splicing and direct routing through fibre duct or cable tray, eliminating the requirement for fanout kits.

With a 7 mm outer diameter and 50 kg/km nominal weight, the cable is suited to vertical riser installation and shared-tray runs in commercial buildings, occupying the enterprise end of the SlimCORE product family. Configurations are available in single-mode (G.657.A1) and multimode (OM3, OM4, OM5).

Intended for floor-to-floor riser pulls and shared-tray distribution in financial and business centres across Sydney CBD commercial towers, with enterprise backbone applications reaching communications cabinets on each floor of multi-tenant office stock throughout the Melbourne and Brisbane metropolitan clusters. The 7 mm OD suits the tray sizing specified in regional structured-cabling builds.
