The SkySPAN™ Short Span ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) optical cable family is engineered for aerial pole-to-pole distribution networks where metallic messengers are not suitable. Designed to deliver maximum capacity with fiber counts up to 288, this cable features a robust, non-metallic construction ideal for dielectric applications. Capable of spanning distances up to 140 meters (depending on loading conditions), this cable is designed for high-capacity networks with fiber counts up to 288.
The cable utilises a stranded loose tube (SZ) core design with StaticGEL™ technology for clean, fast handling. A central FRP strength member and peripheral aramid yarns provide the necessary tensile strength for self-supporting installation without grounding requirements. Finished with a durable black polyethylene (PE) jacket, SkySPAN™ ensures long-term reliability in challenging environmental conditions.
