The FiberFox Mini 12R+ is the world’s smallest ribbon fusion splicer, engineered for rapid, precise splicing of ribbon or single fibres in compact field environments. Supporting up to 12 fibre ribbons, it combines lightweight design with high-speed operation and stable optical performance.
Using digital core alignment and precision fibre positioning, the Mini 12R+ achieves typical losses as low as 0.05 dB and splice times of 15 seconds. It weighs only 1.32 kg (without battery) while retaining full ruggedisation against dust, water and impact. Two Li-ion battery packs are supplied, delivering up to 300 cycles per charge.
The system includes a 4.3″ colour touch display, dual CCD core-view cameras, and full MPO SOC compatibility. Built to IEC standards, the Mini 12R+ performs reliably from –15 °C to +60 °C and up to 5000 m elevation, making it ideal for FTTx, data centre, and ribbon backbone use.
